Programme for Trials Associated with Modalities and Specialities of Federations
After the conclusion of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the CSD updated the Programme for Modalities and Specialities officially recognized by the High Council for Sport and assigned to Sports Federations and Groupings of Spanish Clubs. Furthermore, the Olympic trials have been updated to match the Olympic programmes for BEIJING 2008. The following captions are used to identify the characteristics of each trial: Similarly, information is provided about other attributes or characteristics for each trial. Thus, an indication is given as to whether they are Individual or Team trials, with two types of team trials being distinguished: a) Team Trial 1: All team trials except Collective Sports (Association Sports) and those whose final result is obtained by adding together the results of individual trials. b) Team Trial 2: Team trials for Collective Sports (Association Sports) and those whose final result is obtained by adding together the results of individual trials. c) Simultaneous performance trials: These are trials with up to 4 members, in which a group of 2, 3 or 4 athletes form a team to execute a similar and repetitive action. An indication is also given for those in the COMBAT category (“Comb.”).
